Weather Issues...

We are currently "snowed in". Okay, it's a self induced "snow in" mostly because we're too paranoid to try driving in all that stuff out there. While I have only ventured out once (pics to follow), apparently the road conditions are supposed to be "treacherous" due to the fact that it snowed THEN it sleeted (still not sure what that means), THEN it rained. This combination of weather conditions leads to something called "Black Ice". While that SOUNDS like it's uber-cool, apparently it spells certain death for anyone foolish enough to get in their cars and drive. (okay, 'certain death' may be a bit strong... how 'bout 'certain ditch' or 'certain dent' or 'sho-nuff crash'?)
Anyhow, we haven't yet grown the "snow balls" to get behind the wheel of our cars so that means we're just hanging out in the house all weekend. I got a bit stir-crazy yesterday afternoon and decided that we should at least TRY to experience the loveliness that was covering our abode, so we piled on layers and layers of clothes, ran up to the second floor and out onto the deck. Mon Petit Cousin suggested "snow angels"...
